The charm and uniqueness of Ranu Kumbolo, East Java

Ranu Kumbolo is a freshwater lake with an area of approximately 15 hectares in the mountains Tengger Semeru mountain foot between the District and the District #Malang #Lumajang, #Jawa East. Preparation prior to Ranu Kumbolo

Ranu Kumbolo located at an altitude of 2400 meters above sea level the temperature will be very cold, especially at night and in the summer. Therefore, before camping in the area Ranu Kumbolo we must prepare a complete climbing equipment and perlengkatan ranging from footwear to headgear, mental preparation and physical prime.

Before traveling Ranu Kumbolo travel, tourists are advised to physical exercise such as jogging, running or other sports that can increase endurance, because travel to Kumbolo Ranu is a journey that is quite heavy.

Before leaving for Ranu Kumbolo, we have to be checked to the doctor and make a clean bill of health. Suat health certificate from a doctor is attached along with a photocopy of ID card 3 pieces and handed over at the registration post Ranupani.  

Access to Ranu Kumbolo
Lumajang of Probolinggo or bus ride majors Kencong or Ambulu, down in New Town or Klojen. From there rises the city transportation department Senduro, down in the market Senduro. From market to Ranupani Senduro we could rent a jeep.
Ranupani is the last village before climbing #gunung Semeru. Here there is a registration post, stalls and lodgings. For security and safety of climbers must register, handing documents health certificate and a photocopy of the ID card in the mail Ranupani. Admission to Ranu Kumbolo approximately Rp. To arrive at Ranu Kumbolo we can take one of two paths available, namely through Watu Rejeng and Bukit Ayek-ayek. Watu path Rejeng more easily reached, but will spend a longer time. While the path Ayek-ayek hill is steep and quite a dangerous path but travel time is much faster.
From Pos Ranu Pani to Watu Rejeng we will walk past the hillside overgrown with rare plant edelweiss flowers. Travelling to Ranu Kumbolo via the Rejeng Watu will be treated to views of the valley and the hills are very beautiful evergreen. This trip takes 5 to 7 hours.
